My paintings exude the feeling of the environment around me. Familiar images such as trees and clouds enthralled me with the chemistry of my surroundings. As with the impressionists and expressionists, I feel the light and emotion through my brush movements. After spending several summers at Beaver Island in Michigan, I started a series of expressionist landscapes.
